Not All Financial Advice Is Created Equal

In 2022, not all financial advice is created equal. But most consumers don’t know that. 😞

You might want to ask yourself, do I want my financial advice coming from a fiduciary, someone bound by law (not hopes, dreams or a prayer) to put my interests first?

I say 𝑯𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒉! And you should get it in writing, as in a 𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙤𝙖𝙩𝙝.

𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱. This is why not all financial advice is created equal.

You deserve better than that. This is your money and your life we’re talking about. The next time you interview an advisor, ask, “Are you a fiduciary financial advisor and can I have that in writing?”

There are many other compelling questions you should ask if you are seeking a new relationship with an advisor.

Lucky you, I’ve compiled a list of questions you should ask any financial advisor you are thinking of working with.  It takes guts to ask some of these questions, so be prepared.

This infographic below comes from NAPFA National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, which has a directory of fee-only, fiduciary, oath-giving advisors. I am a card-carrying member!

Another great organization is the XY Planning Network.  I’m also a member and consider these peers my “tribe”.  On this site, you can search on a wide variety of advisors who specialize in many, many different areas, locations, services, and people, all the way down to RV/Motorcycle Owners or Faith-Based Business Owners.  That’s nichy.

If it’s not going to be me, and that’s okay, find your perfect-fit fiduciary financial advisor who specializes in your needs.
