Aside from me 📯 tooting my own horn, why does this matter?1️⃣ The financial services industry historically has a reputation much like used car salespeople, (sorry salespeople). The CFP® designation is an attempt to set industry standards based on education, examination, ethics and experience to grow into a respected profession like the medical or accounting professions. There are steps to enforce standards as well.2️⃣ Although there is some debate, I think the person giving you financial advice should be a fiduciary to reduce, remove or disclose conflicts.
