Avea Financial Planning specializes in being a retirement planner and fiduciary financial advisor for PNNL employees (Pacific Northwest National Laboratory) especially those who are close to or in retirement. In addition to traditional planning areas such as retirement, taxes and investment management, we have specialized expertise in the areas of early retirement, Social Security maximization and retirement income planning in coordination with PNNL employee and retirement benefits, pension and insurance plans.
No, I meet clients either in person or virtually. It is really, very flexible. I live and operate out of the Tri-Cities in sunny, southeastern Washington State, the cities of Richland, Pasco and Kennewick specifically, but through the magic of technology, I am able to work with clients wherever they live. That means that I am legally required to act in your best interest and put the interests of my clients above everything else. The CFP® mark is obtained only after receiving a bachelor degree, specialized financial planning education, on-going ethics training, 3 years of work experience and a rigorous examination (it was 10 hours over 2 days!). The CFP® mark is considered the highest standard in our emerging industry. In a word, it is financial street cred.
No. We have a 30-minute free consultation by phone or video to see if working together makes sense. If it does, then we have an additional meeting to learn more about each other before making a decision to work together. I ensure that you will have a deeper understanding of where you stand today financially even if you decide not to move forward.
Fee-only means that our firm is paid only by our clients, no one else. Our firm does not sell any financial products or receive commissions. We don't get kickbacks, referral fees, incentives, prizes, travel bonuses, nothing, unlike many other advisors. There is no one influencing how we advise our client due to incentives.
